Facial Waxing

In, out, polished.

Quick brow, lip, and nose waxing at Smith Hair Salon. Most appointments take 10 to 20 minutes. Walk in, add it to your color or haircut, or book it on its own.

Sometimes the most polished thing you can do for your face takes 15 minutes.

Cleaning up your brows, your upper lip, or your nose hair is one of those small things that makes a big difference in how you feel and how photos turn out. The shape of your brows in particular changes how your whole face reads. A quick wax keeps everything looking intentional.

At Smith Hair Salon, our facial waxing services are quick, clean, and built to fit any visit. Add one to your color or haircut appointment, or come in just for the wax. Either way, you’ll be in and out in under 20 minutes feeling fresh.

Frequent Questions

Waxing questions, answered.

  • How long does a facial waxing appointment take?
Most facial waxing appointments take 10 to 20 minutes depending on the service. A brow wax takes about 10 to 15 minutes. A lip or nose wax takes 5 to 10 minutes. You can also add a wax to a haircut or color appointment without making your visit much longer.
  • Does facial waxing hurt?
Facial waxing is quick and most clients find it very manageable. There’s a brief sting when the strip is removed, but it fades in seconds. Your stylist uses a soothing product after the wax to calm any redness. The first wax is usually the most sensitive. After a few visits, your skin gets used to it.
  • What should I do before my wax appointment?
Arrive with clean skin. Avoid strong exfoliants or retinoids on the area for 2 to 3 days before your visit. Skip heavy makeup if possible so your stylist can see the area clearly. If you have any skin sensitivities or are using prescription skin care, let your stylist know.
  • What should I avoid after a wax?
For 24 hours after waxing, avoid direct sun exposure, hot showers, swimming pools, and heavy sweating. Skip exfoliants, retinoids, and harsh skin care products on the area for 1 to 2 days. Apply a soothing aloe gel or calming serum if you notice any redness.
  • How often should I get a brow wax?
Most clients get a brow wax every 3 to 4 weeks. Lip and nose waxing usually fall on the same schedule. Booking ahead helps you stay consistent and keeps your shape clean over time.
  • Is nose waxing safe?
Yes. Our nose waxing service is quick, gentle, and only removes hair just inside the nostril. We use hard wax because it’s made for sensitive areas. Hard wax grips the hair without sticking to the skin, which makes nose waxing safer and more comfortable than people expect. The result is a cleaner, more polished look in under 10 minutes.
  • Can I add a wax to my haircut or color appointment?
Yes. Adding a wax is one of the easiest ways to make your salon visit feel like a full reset. You can add one when you book online, or just ask your stylist at the start of your appointment. Most waxes only add 10 to 20 minutes to your total visit.
